Natural Body Size

Did you know that 80% of our weight and height is genetically determined? So this means that our bodies actually do have a natural size that they can naturally sustain. When people go above or below this size it is difficult for our bodies to maintain and we often go back to our natural size. Think about people who diet and loose weight only to gain it back it again, this happens because it is not natural for their bodies. Our natural size is genetically determined but is affected by lifestyle and medication.

So How do you discover your natural body size? Here are a few tips:

1) Eat when you're physically hungry and stop when you're full/satisfied. Don't restrict any foods because that makes us want it more. Provide foods you crave so you can choose to eat them when you feel like it.

2)Exercise. You don't have to get obsessive just move your body, anything that gets your heartbeat up whether its running, taking the stairs, swimming or yoga. Apparently 15 mins of cardio is compared to 10mg of anti-depressants. They say 30-60 mins MOST days, not every day just most days. I tend to look at this on a weekly basis say 4/7, but if you wanna take a monthly/yearly stance. Whatever fits into your lifestyle the best.

3)Sleep: your body needs sleep to grow and repair itself.

4)Stay hydrated:)
